However, there are rare circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken:
- If you disclose information about an act of terrorism or money laundering.
- If we are required to do so by a court of law or other legal mandate.
- If the therapist believes you or others may be at risk of significant harm.
- If there's reason to believe a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk of harm or neglect.
These exceptions to confidentiality are in place to ensure your safety and the safety of others. They are only invoked in serious situations and after careful consideration.
If you have any concerns or questions about confidentiality, we encourage you to discuss them with your counsellor.
How do video-call appointments work?
How do video-call appointments work?
Our video-call appointments are designed to provide a face-to-face counselling experience that's simple, secure, and effective:
- Accessing Your Session: • We'll email you a link for your scheduled appointment • Click the link from your phone, tablet, or laptop at the agreed time • No downloads or installations required

- Security and Privacy: • The video-call is secure and not recorded • Only you and your counsellor can access the session • Your counsellor has received extensive training in online therapy
- Session Flexibility: • If needed, you can take a 5-minute break during the session • Feel free to have sensory items with you for comfort
- Technical Requirements: • A device with a working camera, microphone, and internet access • A quiet, private space for your session
